Dr. Marshall Flam

Baritone

Marshall Flam was born and raised in New York City. His two loves were singing and science. He was lead singer in a du-wop group and sang in choir in high school. He sang in musical shows while attended college at The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), from which he graduated with a degree in Life Sciences. During his time in Medical School and thereafter his only singing was in the shower and at occasional piano bars. He practiced Hematology and Oncology for 40 years in Fresno, California and was an Associate Clinical Professor of medicine at UCSF. Upon retirement, he began voice studies with Edna Garabedian and the California Opera Association.

He is married to a retired Chilean pediatrician and the father of 5 accomplished daughters, and grandfather to 11. His hobbies include tennis, skiing, gourmet cooking and mixology. He is the author of Wordle Limericks: Flamericks, a compendium of 607 educational and humorous limericks.
